The sisters Kardashian have officially opened their doors in Manhattan, and in true Kardash-fash, they made an entrance. Subscribers to the rule of fame by association, they landed a prime SoHo spot with neighbors the likes of Chanel and Burberry. While they haven't exactly won over the the residents of Spring Street, I have to hand it to them. They know how to merchandise a store.
While I was safely inside the new boutique, with zero phone service for Twitter updates I might add, I was blissfully unaware of the fact that the girls had tweeted the location to their followers "inviting" them to come. The event was closed door, with a list, and a whole slew of security. The Twitter fans lined the block. This did not win them any new fans on Spring Street - except for maybe Baked by Melissa - the mini cupcake company who catered (and who also happens to be the home of my fave cupcake in NYC).

The girls looked fantastic, and the product assortment was killer. It's been almost 3 weeks since the opening, and I cannot wait to get back and spend some money! With opening price points at a whopping $50, capping off at about $2,000, I was pleasantly surprised by their offerings. My money will be going towards the CC Skye Jewelry assortment and the Alice + Olivia apparel (particularly this sweater).
The crowd was model heavy, with a few guest appearances from other A-Listers like Kanye West, we wouldn't consider The Spin Crowd A-listers yet, right? Right? It was packed with editors and socialites trying to get a first peek at what NYC would be like A..K. (After Kardashian).
