MisMags tweeted, "How can I extend my summer wardrobe into the fall with this in-between weather?" Tell me about it! I tried wearing jeans and a flannel while running a few errands today and let's just say, flannel was a bad choice. Even though the weather channel says it's 70 outside, with humidity and lingering summer temps making guest appearances, fall isn't quite here yet.
I look to the west coast style set for outfit inspiration during this weird weather limbo. Layering long sweaters over shorts, or adding boots is a fresh interpretation of old summer staples. Fortunately, you have quite a few options when it comes to making summer clothes feel new again & the general fall transition.
My personal favorite is skinny jeans, a long tank and a scarf. Whether you wear it with boots, ballet flats, or sandals; it's the perfect balance between summery chic and an intro to fall's infamous layered look.
Media favorite, Kim Kardashian sports a long tank, skinnies and a bomber jacket, which is a great layering option.
An unsurprising candidate is the t-shirt dress. Belt it, and pair with boots. Layer it with anything from a scarf to a sweater coat, and you have a fresh for fall look, that style icon Rachel Bilson has mastered.
Check out some of my favorite west coast trendsetters, from Kim Kardashian to Jessica Alba, rocking these easy summer-to-fall looks.
