Who am I, and why should you care at all about what I have to say? I'm just a girl living in NYC, soaking up all the amazing things this city has to offer. But, there's more to me than meets the eye. So here's my story.
Parts urbanite, country gal, and beach bum, I grew up studying fashion magazines, horseback riding, and kicking up the sand along Connecticut's Long Island Sound. Discovering my passion for fashion early on, I - not just a closet editor, but also a closet workaholic - appointed myself Personal Wardrobe Consultant to my lovely mom by age four. When not consulting for my mom, I spent my afternoons recreating the outfits I had carefully studied on my big brother's girlfriends.
Fifteen years later, I left behind a world of southern charm and sundresses in my Virginia college town to enter the epicenter of style: the New York City fashion industry. After a stint at one of the world's top modeling agencies, running e-commerce/art directing photo shoots for fashion-forward designer on the rise, and web producing for one of the most unstoppable names in the industry, I decided to launch my own site, Diary of a Closet Editor. Extolling the virtues of a well-organized wardrobe (and, therefore, closet), I edit and editorialize on today's trends and lifestyles. Through Diary of a Closet Editor, I fuse together my two great loves: style & editing. I'm a closet editor. I edit closets as a service, but my dream job is to be an editor - for a magazine or blog. I write (and, yes, edit) after hours, and in my free time I eat, drink and shop my way through the charming and quirky streets of NYC's West Village.
